Stutman Law obtained a 100% recovery against a plumber who carelessly ignited combustibles while sweating pipes in a bathroom during a condominium remodeling project. The plumber was working in an adjacent unit, however the fire spread to the insured’s tenant-occupied condominium. Our client’s damages related only to its insured’s lost rental income associated with the damaged condominium. The client had weak supporting damages documentation and was prepared to close the file. However, Stutman Law pressed forward and was ultimately able to provide sufficient evidence to establish the client’s damages and effectuate a settlement for the full amount of the claim.
