On September 2, 2022, a wildfire started near a lumber mill at Woodridge Court and Woodridge Way, City of Weed in Siskiyou County, California. The fire consumed almost 4,000 acres of land, destroyed 107 structures, and damaged 26 additional structures before it was contained. The fire spread to neighboring communities of Lake Shastina, Carrick, and Edgewood. Investigation is underway to determine if there is any potential for subrogation recovery.
