On July 13, 2021, a wildfire started near Storrie Road above the Cresta Dam in Plumas County and consumed over 963,000 acres of land before the fire was contained. This litigation also includes the Fly Fire that started on July 22, 2021, at the area of Butterfly Valley Twin Road and Highway 70 in Plumas County. The Dixie and Fly fires merged into one fire. Investigation determined that the wildfires were caused by failures of the Bucks 1101 Circuit (Dixie) and the Gansner 1101 Circuit (Fly). As such, litigation against Pacific Gas and Electric Company was initiated on November 14, 2022, in the Superior Court of the Statue of California, County of San Francisco. This litigation is currently in the discovery phase.
