On August 17, 2020, several wildfires started in Napa, Solano, Sonoma, Lake and Yolo Counties in California and consumed 363,220 acres of land before the combined fire was contained. The LNU group of wildfires includes the Hennessey, Gamble, Markley, Spanish and Walbridge fires. This complex fire destroyed 1,491 structures and damaged a further 232 structures. Additionally, six people were killed, and another five were injured. At this time, preliminary investigation seems to indicate that each fire likely resulted from a lightning strike. However, investigation is ongoing. Stutman Law is monitoring the investigation status to determine if there is any potential for subrogation recovery.
