Daniel Hogan

Dan Hogan joined Stutman Law in 2002 and has since become known as one of the top subrogation lawyers in the country.  Dan has litigated hundreds of cases to verdict and scored significant wins at both the trial an appellate levels.  He has obtained jury verdicts against utility companies, construction contractors and others.  By employing aggressive investigation and litigation strategies, Dan has also favorably resolved countless six, seven and eight-figure cases via settlement prior to trial, at mediations and through arbitrations.

Dan has extensive experience in investigating and litigating complex, high value claims involving product liability issues, construction defects, catastrophic flooding, spontaneous combustion, utility liability, suppression system failures, commercial kitchen fires, and crane collapses, among other things. In addition to managing large property loss investigations and litigations, Dan has also taken the lead on a number of Stutman Law’s mass tort endeavors, including mass tort actions and multi-district litigations (MDLs) concerning failed plumbing products and mass torts associated with California’s 2007 wildfires and the 2010 San Bruno pipeline explosion.

Given his litigation experience, Dan is a sought-after and frequent lecturer within the subrogation industry.  Dan regularly presents seminars for groups such as The National Association of Subrogation Professionals (“NASP”), The Property Loss Research Bureau (“PLRB”) and the National Property Subrogation ExecuSummit.  He has lectured on a range of issues including spontaneous combustion fires, product defect trends, suppression system failures, commercial kitchen fires and best practices for proving subrogation damages at trial.

Prior to joining Stutman Law, Dan spent several years as a prosecutor for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office.  In that role, Dan litigated thousands of felony criminal cases.
