Stutman Law Obtains Federal Court Consent to Serve Foreign Manufacturer Via E-Mail

Stutman Law recently persuaded a Federal Court in California to permit service of process via e-mail on a foreign manufacturer that sells retail items in the United States solely via web-only storefronts.  Obtaining service in this manner allowed Stutman Law to bypass the expenses and time delays typically involved in serving foreign defendants pursuant to the Hague Convention.  Following e-mail service, Stutman Law’s attorneys obtained a default judgment against the manufacturer.
