Hatcher Mountain Wildfire

The front of a Roman-style courthouse with tall stone columns and a cloudy sky in the background.

On March 30, 2022, a wildfire started in Sevier County, Tennessee and consumed 3,700 acres of land and destroyed at least 219 structures before the fire was contained. The official state reports indicate that the origin of this wildfire is utility lines. As such, we are investigating potential liability of the local utility company, Sevier County Electric Systems.
